(Updates from the Planning Commission)
(Updated January 12, 2025)
FLOOD REPAIR INFORMATION
Residents of Madison County are reminded that with the recent disaster, many structures in the community may have experienced structural damage. Repairs and/or reconstruction activities to structures damaged due to the disaster that are in the floodplain will require a local building permit from either Madison County or the planning department/building department of the community where you live. In addition, depending on the property’s location, a permit may be required from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources prior to the start of any reconstruction activity.
For more information on the permitting process, contact Larry Strange at the Madison County Planning Commission at 765-641-9540 or lstrange@madisoncounty.in.gov .
