Madison County Central Dispatch serves all towns and townships across Madison County for 911 calls, and Police, Fire, and Ambulance responses. Our 36 telecommunicators are trained in Emergency Medical Dispatching, as well as protocols for Police and Fire call taking as well. Additionally, Madison County Central Dispatch is responsible for a 5-site simulcast P-25 radio system which allows all responders across Madison county to communicate and provides interoperability to responders across the state as well.
In 2018 Madison County handled 203,931 phone calls, 72,000 911 calls, and 130,257 unique incidents. Over 96% of our 911 calls are answered in under 10 seconds, and 99.96% of all calls are answered under 40 seconds.
